September 11: Remembering, Honoring and Staying Prepared

Today, we remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor the first responders, public safety professionals, and countless individuals who stepped forward to help others.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to remember their courage, service, and sacrifice.

We also recognize the people who carry that commitment to safety forward every day. Across our commercial real estate community, property teams, security professionals, engineers, and service providers work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep our buildings and the people inside them safe and prepared. We are grateful for the responsibility they take on every day.

Preparedness, communication, and strong community partnerships are at the heart of BOMA/GLA’s Security & Emergency Preparedness Committee, and today is an important reminder of why that work matters.

Their next event is "Keeping Buildings Safe by Working With BIDs and Local Groups" on September 23rd.

All BOMA/GLA members are also welcome to join the committee throughout the year to learn, share, build relationships, and help strengthen preparedness across our commercial real estate community.

Today, above all, we remember and honor those we lost on September 11 and those who answered the call to help.
