Northeast CRE Leaders Gather for Networking and Local Development Updates

NE Happy Hour

Last night our members came together for a lively happy hour at Media Studios in Burbank.

They were able to enjoy drinks, laughs, and valuable updates from the Economic Development Department of Burbank and the Community Development Department of Glendale.

What You Missed

Vilia Zemaitaitis, deputy director of Community Development from the City of Glendale, shared updates on Glendale’s Draft Land Use and Environmental Justice Elements.

These are policies that could influence future zoning, development opportunities, and infrastructure planning.

She also discussed redevelopment possibilities for the Verdugo Wash, which could enhance connectivity and add value to nearby properties.

Mary Hamzoian, economic development manager from the City of Burbank, highlighted major projects impacting the local business and real estate market, including the new Hollywood Burbank Airport passenger terminal, several large-scale mixed-use developments, and the Warner Bros. Studios expansion.

Looking to the Future

Members left with fresh insights into how these developments will shape the Northeast region—and with plenty of new connections!

It was the perfect mix of learning, networking, and celebrating our community.

Our Northeast Regional Council was delighted to host the event, and we thank Worthe Real Estate Group for generously providing the space.

Stay updated on our calendar for upcoming events.
