BOMA at the Bowl Celebrates CRE Advocacy and Community
BOMA/GLA members and industry partners came together at the Hollywood Bowl for BOMA at the Bowl, an evening celebrating our commercial real estate community and the advocacy work we make possible together.
The event is more than a chance to connect and enjoy a night at the Bowl. BOMA at the Bowl helps support BOMA/GLA’s advocacy and PAC efforts throughout the year.
That work means building relationships with elected officials, meeting with policymakers, supporting candidates who understand commercial real estate, and making sure our industry has a voice when decisions are being made that affect our buildings, businesses, and tenants.
Connecting Members With Future Leaders
We were also glad to welcome Los Angeles City Attorney candidate John Mckinney to this year’s event.
Having candidates join our members creates an opportunity for the commercial real estate community to build relationships with people seeking public office and better understand where they stand on issues affecting our industry.
The Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office can have a direct impact on the business community, including through the prosecution of crimes such as retail theft and other quality-of-life and public safety issues affecting properties, tenants, and neighborhoods.
These conversations are an important part of our advocacy work. Strong relationships help make sure commercial real estate has a seat at the table.
Advocacy Happens Year-Round
From City Hall to Sacramento, BOMA/GLA works throughout the year to represent the commercial real estate industry on issues including permitting, building regulations, taxes, public safety and the cost of operating buildings.
Events like BOMA at the Bowl help make that work possible while bringing together the people who make our industry strong.
