New Parcel Taxes Could Raise Costs. Join Our Member Town Hall.

Word,Tax,On,Coin,Stacks

Two proposed parcel taxes on the November 3 ballot could bring new annual expenses to commercial properties in Pasadena and Culver City.

Join BOMA/GLA’s virtual Member Town Hall on Wednesday, October 21, from 1–2 p.m. to learn about potential costs, campaign updates, and ways to respond before Election Day. Registration is complimentary for all membership types.

What You Need to Know

Pasadena’s Measure PFD proposes an annual tax of 19 cents per taxable square foot for 14 years, with no per-parcel cap.

Culver City’s Measure AA proposes 48 cents per taxable square foot annually for 10 years, capped at $15,000 per parcel each year.

These recurring expenses could affect property budgets and business costs. BOMA/GLA opposes both measures and urges eligible voters to vote NO.

Resources for You and Your Tenants

During the town hall, we’ll also introduce one-page handouts for members and tenants in each city.

The member handouts explain potential property costs. The tenant guides offer a simple overview you can share with businesses in your buildings, explaining that any tenant impact would depend on the measure passing and existing lease language.
