BOMA at the Bowl Supports Our Advocacy Year-Round
This week, BOMA/GLA members are heading to Sacramento with us to do something important: tell lawmakers directly what California's policies mean for the people who own, manage, and operate commercial buildings.

Our Members Bring CRE's Voice to Sacramento
On August 11th and 12th, BOMA/GLA members will join commercial real estate professionals from across California at the California Commercial Real Estate Summit.
Together, we will meet with state lawmakers and their staff to talk about the challenges facing our industry and advocate for policies that help commercial real estate succeed.
Our members are the most important part of these conversations.
They can tell lawmakers firsthand what it is like to manage a building, complete a tenant improvement, deal with permitting delays, control rising operating costs, keep tenants, and respond to new regulations.
We are also advocating alongside the California Business Properties Association (CBPA) on legislation affecting our industry.
That includes AB 2418, a CBPA-sponsored bill and BOMA/GLA priority that would help address lengthy commercial permitting and inspection delays.
These conversations matter because decisions made in Sacramento eventually make their way back to our members' buildings.
BOMA at the Bowl Helps Us Keep Showing Up
Our advocacy does not begin and end with one trip to Sacramento.
Throughout the year, BOMA/GLA works with elected officials, tracks legislation, fights harmful taxes and mandates, supports policies that make it easier to operate commercial properties, and gives our members opportunities to tell policymakers how proposed laws would affect them.
On September 11, you can help us continue that work by joining us for the 13th Annual BOMA at the Bowl.
This year's event will bring our commercial real estate community together for dinner, networking, OneRepublic, and fireworks at the Hollywood Bowl.
But the evening also has an important purpose: BOMA at the Bowl is a fundraiser supporting the BOMA/GLA Political Action Committee, and every ticket helps support our efforts to protect and advance commercial real estate throughout Greater Los Angeles.
